Meet at Lock E2 Park for an enriching Walking Tour of the Champlain Canalway hosted by the Champlain Canalway Trail (CCT).
The tour will start at 10:00 AM and conclude around Noon.
Discover the beauty and history of the Champlain Canal firsthand on a guided 2-mile round trip journey. The tour is an opportunity to delve into the rich heritage of the canal system that played an essential role in shaping the area's history and development.
As you amble down the trail, our historian Russ Vandervoort will narrate the canal's storied past, highlighting key points of interest and sharing fascinating tales of the canal's historical significance. The trail offers not only a glimpse into history but also lovely views of the natural scenery that surrounds the canal.
Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or just looking for a pleasant morning walk, the Walking Tour of the Champlain Canalway is for you.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle for this 2-mile journey.
