Take an enriching Walking Tour of the Champlain Canalway hosted by the Town of Waterford Historian, Russell Vandervoort.

The tour will start at Lock 2 at 10:00 AM and conclude around Noon.

Discover the beauty and history of the Champlain Canal firsthand on a guided 2-mile round trip journey. The tour is an opportunity to delve into the rich heritage of the canal system that played an essential role in shaping the area’s history and development.

As you amble down the trail, our historian Russ Vandervoort will narrate the canal’s storied past, highlighting key points of interest and sharing fascinating tales of the canal’s historical significance. The trail offers not only a glimpse into history but also lovely views of the natural scenery that surrounds the canal.
